Connecting a Mobile Device to Your Wi-Fi Enabled Modem
Your Tele-Media modem is Wi-Fi enabled, and configured as a secure (password protected) network. Please call Tele-Media if you do not know your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) or password. See the Android or iOS section below for instructions on how to connect your device.
iOS
Go to Settings
Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on.
Tap the name of the secure Wi-Fi network you wish to join (note that password protected networks have locks just to the left of their names).
In this example, we are joining the network called “TMS1”.
Enter the password for your Wi-Fi network, then tap Join. If you can’t tap Join, the password you’ve entered is incorrect. If you don’t know the password to your Wi-Fi network, please contact Tele-media.
After you join the network, you’ll see a check mark next to the network, and a wifi symbol in the upper-left side of your display.
Android
Because there are so many different versions (and manufacturer skins) for Android, your screen may look slightly different than the screenshot below. The following screenshots were taken from an LG G3.
Click on Settings (if may be in your “apps drawer” if you can not find the icon on one of your screens).
Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on.
Tap the name of the secure Wi-Fi network you wish to join (note that password protected networks have locks just to the left of their names).
